If you want to ensure your complaint to the City is dealt with (or registered), always use the C3 form as your entry point. The greatest concern LSRA members express when dealing with local government is that their question or requirement is lost in the system. This is highly likely as the City of Cape Town (CoCT) has a staff compliment of approximately 27 000, and its sister organisations and services such as the Central City Improvement District (CCID), METRO police and SAPS use their own systems that may not necessarily couple with the CoCT.

This has been a point of contention with the LSRA and local government, and of particular frustration to members who have logged their concerns over the years with organisations other than the CoCT. The result is that their calls and emails have not been taken into account when improvements or strategies are being carried out by local government. Fortunately, the route forward is simple with the CoCT’s C3 notification system which ensures that resident concerns on noise, waste, crime are centrally recorded, and can be recalled by key local government officials when making change residents.
